Families

Most family sessions are with past wedding clients (because I get very attached), but I also work with referrals when it’s a good fit. If you’re looking to slow down, laugh with your kids, and actually be in the photos for once—I’m in.

I take on 20-25 weddings per year. This number allows me to invest 100% in each and every one of my couples. I want to get to know you, learn about your story, grab a coffee and chat wedding details, talk about how to adjust your timeline to include a beer at your favorite bar with your wedding party! This is a one-woman show! By taking on only a certain number of weddings a year, you can know that every email has been written by me & every photo has been sorted and edited by my hand. I work hard to create an interactive and personal wedding experience tailored to YOU!
I second shot my first wedding in 2012, photographed my first wedding solo in 2016, and took this show on the road full-time in 2020! I photograph roughly 80 sessions per year, 25 of which are weddings. I’ve photographed weddings across the midwest, Washington, D.C., Italy, Mexico, and Germany!
The number of photos in your gallery will depend on the hours of coverage you book. You will typically receive approximately 75 - 100 fully edited photos per hour of coverage, or with a second photographer added to your package you can expect roughly 100-125 photos per hour of coverage. I’ll never leave out a good photo just to stay within a certain number of delivered images - every good photo from your day will be delivered to you!
First things first, I like to schedule a video call with all inquiring couples so we can get to know each other! When you book your wedding with me, you will digitally sign a contract and send over a 25% retainer to officially secure your date on my calendar. Send me an email through my contact form to get the conversation started!
All weddings are booked on a first come, first serve basis. Once the retainer is paid, your wedding date is firmly secured in my calendar. Sadly I cannot hold dates for you without a signed contract & retainer.
My standard turnaround time is 6-8 weeks for weddings. Sorting through thousands of photos and editing each and every one takes time! As soon as your gallery is ready, I will email it to you! I always send previews over within a week because I know you are excited to see a little sneak peek!

A first look is seeing your partner before you walk down the aisle. I often suggest building a first look into your timeline so you do not have to feel rushed or miss your cocktail hour. I want you to be present on your wedding day! I’m happy to get on the phone and chat with you about your options! I work with all my couples to create custom timelines so we can be sure to capture all the pieces of your day while prioritizing the things you’re most excited about.
I describe my style as intentional storytelling with a documentary influence. I always say that I document rather than direct, and prompt rather than pose. I keep my couples moving and having fun. My editing style is true to life & timeless, not trendy. You won’t find muted greens or overly warm skin tones in my editing - your images will be edited with a true to life feel that reflects what your day looked like. You can count on me to be an energetic, respectful, inclusive, and calming piece of your day. When you invest in me, my whole heart is invested in you and capturing your day.
I do not typically work off of a shot list. While photographing your wedding I am always observing, capturing the big moments and the little ones in between. I will however ask you for a list to help guide me through your family formals.
To make a long story short, absolutely! Let’s set up a call to discuss your vision for your wedding day. My packages are à la carte style, which allows my couples to pick and choose different elements to build the perfect package for their wedding day.
You’re beautiful just the way you are. I will color correct every single one of your images and take care of any pimples or blemishes that may have popped up. If it is something that won’t be there two weeks later, I will take care of it.
A second photographer is included in the majority of wedding packages. The more moving pieces to your day, the more helpful it can be to have a second photographer to capture all the little details.
