Some weddings stay with you long after the last dance, and Emily and Dan’s celebration at The Arbory in Chicago is one I’ll never forget. From our very first conversation, it was clear that Emily and Dan weren’t just planning a wedding—they were creating a moment that felt deeply personal, intimate, and completely them. Every time we spoke, I walked away smiling, reminded why I do what I do: to document connection, emotion, and the real, unscripted magic between people. After our very first phone call where Em + Dan told me they had their first date at Guthrie’s (my favorite bar in Chicago), I knew that I absolutely had to be there to document their day.

With its urban garden vibes and warm, inviting space, The Arbory was the perfect spot for their cozy, candlelit dinner. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Emily and Dan said “I do” in a space that felt like home. Em + Dan’s wedding day wasn’t about perfection. It was about presence—about teary-eyed hugs, uncontrollable laughter, and those quiet glances that say more than words. Emily and Dan chose to be fully in the moment, and their people followed suit.
